I'm back from Lac visiting my mom at the hospital. Wow, I'm soo happy she seems really in good shape. She is cool, always smiling, laughing and she looks happy and accept very well is new life style. She is probably going home next week. I won't return there in a while, as I've to work here and there... prepare the boxes to moving house, omg it is coming fast now. In 2 weeks, I'm going to shop in Montreal for our new furnitures as what we have here at the loft is remaining in the studio. Well... I'm starting to get excited. 

I'm still trying the new camera, I only had time to do some makeup product shots, hopefully next week I'll be able to organize a shooting with model. I would love to see how it is with people.

The camera upgrade arrived yesterday. I was excited. I was shooting some cosmetics and I did the last ones with the new camera. Well, not much difference from the other, some minor enhancements only, soo.. I'm use to it already. The only thing is, it is not working anymore with Flexcolor, that I prefer, so I've a new software to learn, I've no choice. It is quite easy though, very friendly interface and easy to use. But some features that I love in Flexcolor are not in Phocus.. well... 

We are going until tomorrow visiting my mom at the hospital. I've talk to her yesterday and she is recovering very fast. I'm really really happy. We have a gift for her when she'll get home. We bought her a nice new flat screen televisor. I'll see it today, it is already at her home. She is not a tv lover but for few months, that's the only thing she will have to do, watching tv hehehe.. Omg.. she is so active, it is going to be very hard for her ;). 

I'm awake since 3:30, unbelievable. Spooky has been very annoying, so I decided to wake up. I hope I'll be able to sleep a little bit in the car, it is 4 hours drive... but as the road is not quite cool, I'm sure I'll be too stress to sleep. 

Yesterday I was a little bored and decided to motivate me by doing a shoot for Quit smoking. Quite the usual images that we are use to see for that subject, but well, they are fine. I've others to do but I have to wait, the other images to be done need a setup and unfortunately, I don't have time for now, then I'll do them later. I'm quitting smoking on the 15th April but it might be before. I'm soo ready and motivated I might stop on the 1th April instead! I'll see how I feel but for sure, the 15th, I'm quitting. 

I called my mom yesterday and wow, she is getting quite fine. Imo, next week-end she will quit the hospital. We are going tomorrow only for one day and one night, we have a nice surprise for her, and we've to prepare it with my brother and sister. When she gets home, she will have a new nice flat screen televisor. She doesn't watch tv, but with the surgery, that is the only thing she will be able to do for a while; watching tv. Soo, her televisor is quite old, imo she is going to appreciate it. 

Ok, I'm off to get back to work...

It is done. My mom had her surgery last Thusday. It has been a long day of wait. She left around 8:15am and she came back in her room around 2:30pm. And we were all surprised, she look in good shape for a person that just had a surgery. Even the doctor said wow, you look great! My sister stayed with her for the night because the first 24 and 48 hours after a surgery are crucial, everything can turn bad. But... no... when I went to visit her yesterday, she was laughing, already tired to lay on the bed.. hehe it was cool to see that she was fine :) So I left relief and came back home for few days. I'll return next week for a couple of days. Now the doctor said that the surgery is a success at 90-95%, she will recover fast and now she has to take care of her and start her new way of living. But at least, the cancer is gone and that is the good news!

Finally, next week I will receive the upgrade 50mp of the Hasselblad. I'll have to add more memory on my computer. I've a new Macpro, but I prefer to work with Xp as all my software are for Windows. Unfortunately, they seems to have put all the memories on the mac side, and I've some difficulties to handle my 39mp files, so imagine with the 50 ;)

I'm preparing a shoot for the end of next week, before I don't think I'll have time. Maybe I'll do some still life ones ... well I don't know yet ;)

I've few more from that serie to be done, well almost done but need more processing a little... OK, I'm off...

I'm starting to get stressed. My mom is having her surgery Thursday. We are supposed to leave tomorrow, but now looking at the weather, a storm is in the way. Please hope I'll be able to go. I'm not going to stay here, eating my finger and stressed alone. Let's hope the weather is going to change, if not I'll try to catch the bus. 

Here is the last one I'll post until next week. I'll be back maybe Friday, I don't know, it will of course depends how it goes and the weather. I'm positive and everything is going to be fine!

Here some more. Believe me, choosing one is not easy, especially from that kind of shooting. I'm almost done, quite a couple to process. I'll be able to edit all my images before to leave to Lac St-Jean.

We were all tired, not much sleep, too much vino... I was lack of ideas (well, by my fault as I forgot all the props at the country house)... soo I've to improvise something. Here is one, the only one I had time to look though. I kind of like it!

Next week, I'm going to be off from work for few days. My mom is having her surgery on Thursday. I'm bit stressed but I know she is in good shape, still young and she can do it. I know also that she is stressed a little, that is normal, even if she always been with my father for his several surgery. She knows it is not easy.. and that a sugery is not the most exciting thing. So, next week, we'll be on the road and stay with my family for few days. The day after the surgery, I'll be back here for work and return next week to help a little. 

Today I'm attending people for dinner. I've to go start to cook, I'm cooking a meal that takes about 12 hours to cook. If we want to eat around 7pm.. time to start! Btw, Happy Valentines to all!
